I’m Totally Updating

I don’t know why I’ve not bothered to update this thing in so long, really. I’ve thought about it a bunch of times, but never got around to writing anything. I guess likely because nobody reads this thing, but whatever.

Anyways, I’m back in school. Macro Econ is SO boring. Seriously. Ugh. I was Micro back, when things kind of made sense. I wish that I had more choices for a major, or that I just didn’t have to have one. General education for the win, screw specializing.. That’s my weak point, and likely will always be. I’m a jack-of-all-trades, proficient in almost all, skilled in.. Well.. Typing? I can’t take a major in just “Typing” though, and Computer-type things are all heavy in Math and Science.. I already tried that path.

Also, due to the last couple of sentences, I’m sure that this entry will be flooded in typos.

Hrm.. Not too much else to say. I’ve started playing D&D most Sundays, which is pretty awesome. Last session was “Meh,” but that’s because we were all exhausted. My character got a fancy new Greatsword, and I almost died, but besides that..

Mine and Leslie’s Five-Months was on Tuesday. That was nice, we were trying to find this Mexican Restaurant to eat at, but couldn’t find it, so we just walked to The Roxy… It’s an interesting place that we go to with our whole social group a bunch. I wish we had found the other place, though. I’ll just make sure not to screw up for six months… I hope. I have the amazing ability where.. The more I plan something, the more likely it is to completely collapse through some completely unpredictable variable. So if I started planning now, for example.. I’d probably have a piano drop on me the day before.

And as such, it’s probably for my best health that I don’t try and plan it too much. I’ll just print out a map for where we’re going next time.

Ooh, and I almost forgot! I’ve got my ballot! I have it all filled it, and I’m going to turn it in today, I believe. I actually voted for one Republican, because he seems to know what he was doing more than the Democratic guy, plus, he’s been dealing with Oregon politics for a while. I figure, why throw a new guy to be in charge of the money when he doesn’t know the system. Especially if the experienced guy seems like he can do a good job anyways.

Besides that, I mostly went blue. And I was pretty happy as I was able to bubble in the Obama/Biden choice. I’m going to seriously be depressed if the Republicans steal this election. They’d have to, looking at how the polls are going. The polls, may I add, that I’m very happy to look at.

Maybe I’ll update again before 2009.

Another month, another update.

It’s been awhile. Again. I keep thinking about updating this place, but never get around to it. Both a lot, and a little have happened since I’ve last written, I just need to think of a couple of things.

First of all, I have a forum now! If you go back to the homepage, and click forum, you’ll find it. It’s got a decent amount of members, but could always stand to increase! So if you’re reading this and haven’t registered or posted yet, do so! And if you have.. Go back and post some more!

Also, I’ve got a job. I deliver phone books, and it’s kinda lame. I think if I work it out, I’m really not getting paid much at all.. Oh well. It’s fun if I have a friend in the car with me, otherwise it’s pretty terrible. Not quite sure how I feel about having 300 (which is about how much I can fit) phone books in my car at once, either.

And I just today updated the main page, so it links to a portfolio that I did for college, along with the forum. I think I also made the descriptions a little more entertaining.. Maybe I’ll go back and actually make the main page look decent some day, but if I did that, I’d also be obligated to update this place more often, hrm..

Edit: This is my 33rd update! Favorite number whooo!

It’s Been Awhile!

So, last I updated was after that concert. Quite a bit has happened since then, I’ve just honestly been way too busy to be able to update this thing. School was ending, which meant that not only did I have to move out, but I had finals week! Stack that ontop of my new relationship suddenly becoming a long-distance one, and it should be fairly obvious as to why I was so strapped for time.

I managed to move out and everything though, and so here I am. The last day of school was actually the 14th, but I was a little busy that day. Shortly after, I started to hang out with Joe again, something I hadn’t done since 2007. A lot of time was spent doing our Pokemon Competition, of which we’re only six hours or so into. However, I find myself greatly in the lead. I’ll perhaps give all of the details at a later date.

Home has been nice, but somehow hectic and boring at the same time. I hate having to look for a job, really don’t want one, but hate the process of finding one more. Not to mention the pressure that my parents are putting on me to find one. I’ll applied to like, ten places already, so hopefully I’ll have some luck. I’ve also been really tired, I think all of the lack of sleep during school has finally caught up with me. I’m yawning as I type this.

It’s late, so I don’t really feel like typing much more out. I will point out that my main directory is the sixth result of a good search for Shadic! That’s pretty awesome, isn’t it? I just need to link to it enough to pull it up to number 1!

Music sounds better if you plug your ears!

So, I just went to the Panic at the Disco concert with Leslie, and it was pretty cool. The speakers were WAY too loud though, and you could actually hear everything clearer if your ears were plugged, hence the title for this entry. I was supposed to be doing some homework today, but I uh, didn’t actually accomplish anything. And I haven’t gotten the Econ notes, despite the fact that I should have, so I’m a bit worried. I managed to friend the guy that has connections to these people on Facebook, so I can talk to him tomorrow.

Also, to Ellie: STOP CRUSHING ON THE WRONG GUYS. IT’S STUPID AND BAD. SERIOUSLY!

And this may be a bit random, but I hate Facebook applications. I also have a bit of a headache, but with all the really loud music, it’s pretty understandable. Typing is actually difficult as well, and I’m typoing like crazy over here. And I’m not even sure if typoing is a word, maybe I’m supposed to put a dash in there. Meh, either way.

A Standard Day.

Not much really went on today. I actually went to my 4 straight hours of classes, which is something that I didn’t really do that much this term. Usually I’d take a break to go eat, or something. It wasn’t too bad, I probably should have done it more often.. Whoops.

Leslie was feeling a bit crappy today, and I tried to help that. I think most of her getting-better time happened while I was still in class though, but with finals coming up, I kind of needed to be in class, paying attention. It’s nice though, all that’s left is to have review classes (Which should be really nice), and then watch presentations… Which should be easy. There’s a guy in my Freshman Inquiry class named Jordan that takes Economics with me, and I need to chase him down and see if he has some of the handouts that the teacher gave. I really hope that she does, I’m going to use those to construct my two pages of notes for the final!

Also, Ellie did an AWESOME drawing of me, and uploaded it on her Facebook. She’s a pretty damned good artist, I hope that she realizes that.

Hrm… I should be packing, as well. It’s weird that I’m out of here in two and a half weeks.

A Concert Approaches!

So, it’s now confirmed that I’m going to a Panic at the Disco concert. It’s pretty weird, in the last month I’ll have seen two Bands live, and before then, I had never. Regardless, it should be pretty cool. I’m not a gigantic fan of theirs, but I enjoy the music. I’ve not really listened to much from their newest album, but I’ve enjoyed what I have.

I also went to a parade yesterday, which was pretty cool. It was fun to watch Marching Bands, but it made me miss mine. There was only one that was even on par with the good old Capital High Marching Band.

Oh yeah, and after I got back from fun last night, I find my chair all messed up. I have no clue what happened to it. Roommate swears he doesn’t know anything, and he’s a pretty trustworthy fellow. There’s a part that I can’t even FIND. I’m not quite sure what to think about that, but it may turn up when I have to move out in two weeks.

Wow, I’ve gotta move out in two weeks. I’m going to miss all my College friends. But at least I’ll be able to hang out with the High School ones. Hopefully they still like me enough to want to do stuff. If all else fails, Brawl works great for bonding.

Insert Title Here

It’s been a few days, but I’m managed to drag myself back into updating again, obviously a sign of my dedication to… The nobody that reads this.

Anyways, I went to some fireworks with Leslie and Dylan yesterday, it was pretty awesome. Actually, playing Audiosurf afterward may have been the part of the evening that I enjoyed more, which probably makes me a sad pathetic person. Regardless, that game is pretty much a constant eyegasm, I just don’t think that it would have that long of an appeal for me. It’s fun, colorful, but not really what I’d play very often.

I’ve also got a presentation on Monday about the Commodity Chain of rice, and we’re supposed to stretch it to being 15 minutes long. Our presentation may not even be that long, and we’re going to likely go off the main subject quite a bit. Oh well.

Also, I haven’t really mentioned her before this blog post, but I am back into being in a relationship. It’s the girl mentioned above, Leslie, and she’s pretty cool. My choice to try another relationship ended up with me having a bit of a falling-out with Megan and her closest friends, but I think that I can manage… I’m pretty sure they didn’t like me that much anyways, and I kind of expected it.

….Oh my god. While I was typing this, my Mom just called and told me that she just found both an NES and SNES at a garage sale, in the box! They were $10 each or something, and she called and asked if I would like them. I of course said yes. Failing all else, this is one awesome collector’s item.

Happy happy happy.

Alive and Cursing

First of all, curse you Bad-Behavior! It’s a plugin I use to block bots (Sometimes it won’t work,) and there was some error where it wouldn’t let me log in. Ashley helped me fix the problem, and so now here I am, alive and updating my blog. If only that was the only reason that I was neglecting this little abode of mine, however, I’ve been busy, lazy, and distracted otherwise.

I uh, failed that one Calculus class that I was complaining about a while ago, which is the first time that I’ve failed a class. Oh well, I’ll survive. I had a terrible GPA my first term as a result of that and getting a D in Physics, and I decided that Computer Science wasn’t really my thing. Honestly, I was never convinced that it was, but I needed a major. So now here I am as an Economics major. It’s working out a lot better, I did pretty well my second Trimester, and am going to eventually fix that GPA that I managed to start off on a terrible foot.

I’ve also broken up with my girlfriend, Megan, a while back. We’re still talking a little bit, and have agreed not to try and hate eachother. I think she’s doing better now, she was sounding a bit rough at first. I think all will be for the best.

Despite the terrible news that I’ve just written about, I’ve actually been doing rather well. College is a lot of fun, and I would really enjoy it if it wasn’t for these pestering classes that I have to go to, and sometimes work on. I’ve met a lot of cool people, we’ve got a pretty good social group going on, and there’s plenty of friends. Now I just need to figure out what I’m going to do for a rooming situation next year.. Oh well, everything will come together eventually.

Here’s for hopefully updating within six months of this one!

Calculadeath

Just started my first “Class” for College. And I feel like a fool. I suppose most people have that feeling, but I haven’t had a math class since Sophomore year of High School, I’ve had easy classes otherwise, and my brain isn’t used to… Having to work, I suppose.

Right now, we’re focusing on Trigonometry (It’s a Warm-up Calculus class), which I have almost no experience in. My head starts to hurt after just a small amount of this stuff, so I suppose I should get it back into shape, or something. I found that I worked much better after going outside for a short walk, with some Strokes playing in my ears. Speaking of which, I’m listening to Razorblade right now, off “First Impressions of Earth.” Totally recommended, if you happen to be looking for some good music.

Also, my next has been hurting while I’m at the computer, but I’m guessing it’s because I’m not used to the angle for this new setup. I’ve been eating pretty well, experimenting with foods… Isn’t that supposed to be death for a college student? Oh well. I just hope I don’t get fat, especially when the cafeteria opens up - I get free, unlimited food! …During certain hours at least, so I can’t have Omelette’s at midnight.
